Who we are

bitcointax.co.uk is an introduction and information service operated by GMFBB Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. It is not a regulated financial adviser, accountancy firm, or tax adviser.

Sources and dating

Each guide carries a last-reviewed date and cites its sources. Those sources are HMRC's published guidance on gov.uk and the HMRC Cryptoassets Manual.

What we are not

We are not a regulated financial adviser. We do not give tax advice on individual circumstances. We do not give investment advice. Where a reader needs advice on their specific facts, we introduce them to a firm. The firm gives the advice; we do not.

This is a structural feature of the site, not a caveat. The editorial work explains how HMRC treats positions; applying that treatment to a reader's facts is the firm's work.

What we confirm about a firm

Before making introductions to a firm, we confirm facts you can verify yourself: that the firm is registered with ICAEW and that its registration is current. We do not assess, and make no representation about, the firm's suitability for your circumstances, and whether the firm accepts any engagement is its decision alone.

Corrections

Errors can be reported to corrections@bitcointax.co.uk and are reviewed. Corrections we make are listed in the corrections log, with the date, the page corrected, what was wrong, and what is now correct. Cosmetic edits, formatting changes, and tone improvements are not logged.
